Panel at PSAI Annual Conference 2016
We invite paper proposals for a Participatory & Deliberative democracy panel at this year's annual PSAI conference. Please send your abstracts of up to 300 words to firstname.lastname@example.org before Wednesday 1st June 2016. The full call for papers for the conference is outlined below. The Annual Conference of the Political Studies Association of Ireland (PSAI) will take place in the Europa Hotel, Belfast, over the weekend of 7-9th October 2016. We invite panel and paper
proposals from all areas of the discipline, with particular emphasis on but not necessarily confined to the politics of the island of Ireland.
PROCEDURES FOR SUBMITTING A PANEL OR ABSTRACT
Colleagues are encouraged to submit complete panels (minimum of three papers, maximum of five) on a given subject or theme. This can be done by bringing together other potential panelists yourself, or by contacting the appropriate PSAI specialist group (http://www.psai.ie/specialist.asp). As well as enhancing the coherence of conference panels, this
gives colleagues a greater chance of presenting alongside others working in the same area, and to an audience interested in the panel as a whole. Abstracts for each panel paper are required.
Stand-alone abstracts across the range of themes above will also be considered. The conference organisers reserve the final say in the allocation of accepted papers to panels. While multiple abstract submissions are permitted, in general, multiple papers by the same author(s) is discouraged.
In the case of single paper proposals, please submit an abstract of no more than 300 words to email@example.com by COB on Friday 3rd June 2016. This abstract should be submitted as a word attachment and include:
-Author name(s) and affiliation(s),
-Professional status (PhD student, postdoc, lecturer, professor, independent scholar),
- Summary of the proposed paper
All panel proposals must include abstracts and contact details for each paper as above, and also sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Panel organisers are asked to ensure that appropriate attention is given to balance in respect of gender and stage in career development.
Notification of paper and panel acceptances will be given in early July and paper givers will be
asked to submit their conference papers by 26 September 2016.
Abstracts will be published on the conference website and in the conference programme
